Hope For Homeless

The story behind it all:

Growing up in the city, you see the homeless everywhere you go. Running errands, hanging out with friends, or even just walking to school you pass by someone who is struggling in a way you could never imagine. From a young age, I never really understood what the situation was but always knew I wanted to help. It never sat well with me that someone just a few blocks down from me had life so much more harsh than me. 

   One day, I remember my mom asking me if I wanted to go volunteer at a homeless shelter and of course I said yes. Being there helping made not only my heart happy in a way that I've never felt, but I could tell on others faces how much I helped them. From then on I knew I couldn't just stop there. So for the past 8 years I've been able to partner with many non profit organizations and others to help thousands of people. Being able to learn about people's lives and what they've gone through to get to this point in good and bad ways has been so interesting.

Through the pandemic, the homeless and poverty rates have been going through the roof. In my community, almost all the homeless shelters have been shut or closed down. Parks have been closed off and the state has been trying to shove our homeless away. The problem is, if everyone keeps shutting them out, where are they supposed to go? How are they supposed to get help? 

I, Jackson Swann, started this initiative by myself in hope to make a small impact on my city and just be able to help as much as I can. With the world we live in today, the internet has been such a powerful resource in helping to educate others about many social causes going on today. My mission now is to educate as many people as I can across the country about homelessness and how they can help in their community. 

Launching Swann Beauty, I knew I wanted Hope For Homeless to have an important role in my company and use this opportunity to spread awareness about homelessness. I dedicated one of our newly launched glosses all to my initiative. I am so happy to say all the profits made from the shade 'Hope For Homeless' Goes toward my mission and donating to homeless shelters!
